Trainer and Assessor

Meet David, our friendly Irish Chef Trainer, with decades of experience in professional kitchens as a chef spanning the globe from Michelin star restaurants to offshore gas plants.


David has been cooking since 1986 in Ireland where he received his equivalent Australian Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma in Professional Cooking by the age of 18. He has competed in many regional and state cooking competitions and received several top awards.


After University, he completed his training in Germany and Switzerland, after which carried on traveling to live and work as a chef in 14 countries, gaining as much different food styles, experiences, and diversity as possible. He has worked hard to develop not only his culinary knowledge but teaching styles within this tight-knit industry.


It was only natural that David eventually came to the Training and Assessor sector, with such a solid foundation in the culinary arts that has enabled him to be a mentor to many and to develop skills in teaching the next generation of professional chefs.


David is also qualified and trains First Aid & Education First Aid.
