Career Transition Assistance

Career Transition Assistance

Career Transition Assistance (CTA) helps participants aged 45 years and over build their skills and confidence to become more competitive in their local labour market.

If you are a mature participant looking for work, our CTA program will support you to increase your confidence in the skills and experience you already have, as well as increase your motivation and resilience to continue looking for work.

CTA can help you increase your understanding of the opportunities available in the local labour market and facilitate direct engagement with local Employers, giving you the opportunity to explore different occupations and industries.

How does it work?

Our CTA program consists of course content that is designed to help you to recognise your skills and experience and how these apply to jobs in your area.

Each course runs for 3 weeks for approximately 25 hours each week (up to 75 hours in total).

You will prepare a tailored Career Pathway Plan, which outlines the steps you will need to take to pursue exciting employment opportunities based on your transferable skills, the local labour market, and your career goals.

You will also explore career options, including identifying further training or education to achieve your Career Pathway Plan objectives.

The program is delivered in a supportive group environment that works with you to tailor your job applications, based on your skills and experience.

You will also receive practical assistance to use different types of technology, such as smartphones, tablets, apps, social media and desktop computers.
